The RS tour began in Chartres and the first night was spectacular with the cathedral light show. It was art in motion and my pictures and video cannot truly capture what it was like being there in person! The video below is just a tiny snippet of about 20 minutes of amazing light art.
The next day, we had a local guide introduce us to the cathedral with a focus on the stained class. We had some free time later that day and a few of us tour members decided to return to look around more and appreciate this architectural masterpiece that was built in a very short timespan in the late 1100s.
